A Biodiversity Offset and Management Plan (BOMP) is the operational document that translates a company's biodiversity commitments into specific, time-bound management actions, monitoring programs, and performance targets. Required by FSC forest management certification, RSPO High Conservation Value requirements, IFC Performance Standard 6, and increasingly by international lenders as part of ESG due diligence, a credible BOMP is the document that demonstrates your biodiversity management program is systematic, scientifically grounded, and designed to deliver genuine conservation outcomes.
Develop specific, time-bound management actions for priority biodiversity threats and impacts. Define responsibilities, resource requirements, and implementation timelines for each action.
Develop biodiversity monitoring indicators and targets aligned with management objectives. Design monitoring protocols for key species and habitat quality indicators. Integrate with existing AMDAL and PROPER reporting systems.
Finalize BOMP document with management actions, monitoring framework, and reporting structure. Submit for certification body or regulatory review as required. Support initial implementation and staff training.
